Community

Ferring is such a lovely community and we are proud to be a part of it. We have strong links with St Andrew’s Church and can regularly be seen at monthly Family Service and at Remembrance Day.

It is an important part of our calendar to make sure that we take part in community events such as planting, litter picking, carol singing around the nursing homes, Christmas Postal Service and our annual sponsored beach clean.

Running a Scout Group costs money and we are a registered charity BUT in addition to fund raising for our own purposes, it is a vital lesson for our young people to give back, so over the years we have taken part in a good number of charity events for other good causes. Pictured below are Scouts taking part in the Sussex Churches Bike Ride, the Village Fair, Red Nose Day and packing of shoe boxes in the Link to Hope warehouse.

We also REALLY appreciate how well supported by the community we are.
