Welcome to 1st Ferring
This is our website which will hopefully help provide information and inspiration to our existing and future potential members. We are a community based Scout Group run entirely by volunteers in Ferring, West Sussex, on the South Coast Of England.
We have our own premises, a traditional old Scout Hut and provide Scouting for over 80 young people every week in term time.
- Beavers on Thursday 5.45 – 7.30pm (boys and girls aged 6 – 8)
- Cubs on Monday 6.30 – 8pm (boys and girls aged 8 – 10)
- Scouts on Tuesday 6.45 – 8.45pm (boys and girls aged 10 – 14)
There is also an Explorer Section which meets at our hut (and other locations) on Wednesdays from 8.00 – 10pm (young people aged 14 – 18)
DURING THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN – FACE TO FACE SCOUTING HAS BEEN SUSPENDED – BUT WE ARE STILL “MEETING” ONLINE EVERY WEEK – DOING VIRTUAL HIKES – CAMPING AT HOME AND DOING LOTS OF ACTIVITIES – AWARDING BADGES AND HAVING FUN
