The group has been in existence in its current from since 1961, although records of a 1st Ferring Wolf Pack go back to 1923. Originally, we were Land Scouts but now we are proud to be Sea Scouts. In 2007 Scouts were 100 years old and we took part in the Centenary Celebrations. Our own 50th Birthday was held in 2011 and we brought old and young together at the hut for a grand tea party and a day of reminiscence.

We have our own premises in Meadow Way which was once an old Army hut, erected by the community in 1961. However, time has taken its toll and 2 big phases of refurbishment have lead to the hut walls being entirely rebuilt, strengthened and insulated by 2 Ferring building firms. Phase 1 was carried out by Adam Steele Building and Phase 2 by Niche Construction. There is still some work to do though because the roof is still original and we continue to fund raise!
